Maggie Cheung and staff from UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) visited children who had been through the Wenchuan earthquake in Wenxian county in Gansu province, reported Guangzhou Daily on April 3, 2009.
It took nearly five hours for the group to arrive at Tielou primary school hidden in the mountains, but none of them complained a word. As soon as they arrived, Cheung joined the children in their classes, played games during the break and danced with them on the playground.
When the night fell, Cheung, who had shared a wonderful afternoon with the children, had to bid farewell and promised to come to see them again next year.
