David Beckham received his "best birthday present ever" yesterday (02.05.12).
The soccer star was delighted to receive a framed Earvin 'Magic' Johnson basketball jersey which had been signed by the LA Lakers legend as a gift from wife Victoria to mark turning 37.
Alongside a picture of the jersey, Victoria tweeted: "What do u get David for his birthday???? he loved it!! (sic)"
David - who is a regular at LA Lakers basketball games - later took to his Facebook page to express his delight at the gift, posting a picture of himself grinning broadly as he carried the huge frame.
He wrote: "Best birthday present ever!".
Victoria wasn't the only member of the household to make a fuss of David - who is father to Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, nine, Cruz, seven, and nine-month-old Harper - on his birthday.
The Los Angeles Galaxy player also posted a picture of a food platter containing scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, surrounded by party hats.
He wrote: "Thank you to my amazing family for making my birthday so special!"
"Boys cooked me a birthday breakfast this morning!"
David later thanked his fans for all their well-wishes on his big day.
He wrote: "Thank you all for your amazing messages! They mean so much to me. It's been a great day so far."
