China Hong Kong and Taiwan Film Studies society has released its list of the top 10 Chinese films.
The 10 films include blockbusters such as Zhang Yimou's The Flowers of War, a small budget black comedy Piano of a Factory, and art-house pictures such as Mr Tree.
The society made the preliminary nominations. A jury of 15 experts decided the final results.
The society has been promoting cooperative ventures between mainland filmmakers and those from Hong Kong and Taiwan.
