Comedian Huang Bo will lead Design of Death, a black comedy/thriller that will premiere on April 28.

Director Guan Hu tells an engaging story of a village, where all residents keep a secret until one of them mysteriously dies.

The film will be unique in the mainland market, Guang says, where black comedies and thrillers are scant.

Huang works with a stellar cast, including actress Yu Nan, Simon Yam and Alec Su.

Guan and Huang have worked together on Cow, a comedy that won Huang a best actor award at the Golden Horse Awards, known as the Academy Awards of Taiwan, in 2009.
