Jennifer Lopez and Anthony reunite for twins

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony reunited to spend his birthday with their children this weekend.

The couple announced their split after seven years of marriage in July, but came together for the sake of three-year-olds Max and Emme in Miami on Saturday (17.08.11).

Jennifer and Marc, who turned 43, were seen heading into one of their former family homes with the twins, who were later accompanied outside to the swimming pool by their mother, who is currently on a break from filming 'What to Expect When You're Expecting'.

The previous night – his actual birthday – Marc broke down, falling to his knees as the crowd sang 'Happy Birthday' to him.

He later gave told them: "Thanks for all your love and support, especially this year; it means a lot to me."

He then celebrated his birthday with a private party at Club 50, in Miami's Viceroy Hotel.

Marc has recently claimed he "will always love" his estranged wife but admitted they both came to the conclusion their relationship wasn't working prior to their split.

He said: "It was a realisation on both our parts. So, you know, it wasn't shocking. These things happen. It was a decision that we made jointly."

Three times married Jennifer has meanwhile said splitting was the "hardest decision" she has ever made, but remains optimistic for the future.

She said: "Sometimes it doesn't work - and that's sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love. It's still my biggest dream."
