The third edition of China Image Film Festival will open in London on Sept 19 and run for a week.

The festival, which will focus on Chinese cinema, will show 17 recent films, such as Eternal Moment starring Xu Jinglei and Li Yapeng, and a remake of What Women Want, featuring Gong Li and Andy Lau.

A jury made up of British filmmakers, critics and actors will examine the works and present nine awards.

Highlights also include a screening of Chinese art films and a short film competition.

The festival's opening ceremony will be held at Empire Cinema.
