(China Daily)
Russian singer Vitas will take part in the Chinese movie musical One Night to Be Star, along with rising actress Huang Shengyi and comedian Tian Wa.
The 30-year-old singer will support Huang and Tian by playing an international star in the film, which centers on a shepherd's sudden rise to stardom after a singing contest.
This is the third time Vitas will have performed in a Chinese film. He made a cameo appearance in the war epic Mulan in 2009 and Beginning of the Great Revival in 2011.
Vitas says that movie musicals suit him and that he would like to learn more about Chinese music and musicians by shooting the film.
Filming began on July 24.
