David Beckham signs H&M deal

David Beckham has created a range of bodywear which will be sold at H&M.

The soccer star - who is married to singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham - has signed a long-term distribution deal with the Swedish high street chain, as opposed to a collaborative relationship which they are best known for, and he admits they are the "perfect partner".

He said: "Over the past year, I've been developing my bodywear range with my team and I'm extremely positive about what we have designed and produced.

"The final piece in the jigsaw was a retail partner who has the vision and capability to distribute these products globally. In H&M we have found the perfect partner to collaborate with going forward, I'm excited and looking forward to showcasing the range to H&M customers from February."

David's long-term business partner added the range - which will be available in 1,800 stores in 40 countries - is part of his "evolution" from sport's star to businessman.

He said: "This partnership with H&M is an important step in the evolution of David's journey from sporting hero to entrepreneur and icon."

David has previously fronted fashion campaigns for Emporio Armani underwear and his own fragrance with wife Victoria.
