Kim Kardashian's engagement has taken "pressure" off her sister Kourtney.

The 30-year-old socialite is planning her wedding to Kris Humphries, who she has been dating for six months, and admits her elder sibling - who has 18-month-old-son Mason with partner Scott Disick - is particularly pleased about the nuptials because there is no longer so much focus on her own relationship.

Kim said: "Kourtney doesn't like all the big weddings and big ring thing so she said she's been relieved of a lot of pressure because my mom and everyone was pressuring her and Scott to get married."

Kim also admitted she will adopt Kris' surname privately but is still unsure what to do in her professional life.

She explained: "I think at home and privately for sure I'll change my name.

"A lot of my brands have Kardashian in them. So maybe I'll make it Kim Kardashian-Humphries. I think I will always have Kardashian just for work. But at home it'll be Humphries."
