Paris Hilton and Cy Waits are reportedly "re-evaluating" their relationship.

The hotel heiress and the nightclub entrepreneur are considering whether to stay together after a year or dating because Cy is finding it hard to cope with life as the boyfriend of a globally famous star.

A source told E! Online: "Paris loves and respects Cy very much. He has been through a lot with her. But sometimes it's hard on the relationship because he's not used to this lifestyle, the media and being on a show."

Cy is particularly upset at how much of his and Paris' private life together has been aired on her reality TV show 'The World According to Paris'.

Another source said: "Cy is very upset with the series. He felt that way too much of their private life was shown. When he signed on to do the show, he had no idea the cameras would be so invasive."

Cy - who is the co-owner of Las Vegas nightclubs Tryst and XS, which are located in the Wynn and Encore at Wynn hotels respectively - is also adamant he doesn't want his daughter to get embroiled in the socialite's showbiz lifestyle because he wants her to "lead a normal life".

Despite their problems, the pair have not yet split up but are deciding what the next step in their relationship should be and they both "love each other very much".

Paris is currently in Chicago on a business trip, while Cy is in Las Vegas.
