Mist of Rainy and Kuei Ya-Lei

The 1966 film Mist of Rainy was adapted from the novel of the same name by Qiong Yao. It features a love triangle with two daughters of a warlord who are both in love with the same man. The book has been adaptated several times, including the 2001 TV series Romance in the Rain, starring Zhao Wei.

Kuei Ya-Lei played the protagonist Lu Yiping in the film and won the best actress award at the 4th Golden Horse Award. Born in 1944, Kuei Ya-Lei has become a veteran actress, playing many impressive screen roles.
