Sheng Yuan's notes
Chinese pianist Sheng Yuan will perform five piano sonatas, including Piano Sonata No 9, Op 14 No 1 and Piano Sonata No 23 in F Minor, Op 57 Appassionata, at a recital in the city. Sheng has gained international recognition through his tours of North America and Europe.

Pavel Svoboda will perform works from J.S. Bach, Charles-Marie Widor and Franz Liszt at a recital in the city. Svoboda, a successful young Czech organist, has won many awards ever since he studied the instrument in Pardubice College of Music. In 2014, he released the album Historical Organ in Dobruka 1727.

After performing his own arrangement of Bach's famous Air on the G String for solo violin, Roman Kim, 23, received critical acclaim on YouTube. Getting his first music lessons very early in life, the Russian-German violinist is set for his China debut by performing classical pieces, including Niccolo Paganini's Cantabile in D Major, Op 17 for cello and piano and his own works.

The latest series of Disney on Ice is on tour in China. The production called Magical Ice Festival consists of four stories from Frozen, Tangled, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. The English edition has been created to be understood by young audiences from countries where English isn't the main language.
