Thailand through the Dragon's Brushes, an exhibition of the works of 11 leading Chinese artists, opened in Bangkok on Friday as part of celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand.

The exhibition, jointly organized by The Nation, China Daily and the Chinese Culture and Arts Association, features more than 80 works by well-known Chinese artists. The pieces will be displayed in Bangkok until Sunday.

Half of the works on show were created during a week-long tour of Thailand. The artists sketched and painted at some of the country's most popular spots, such as the ruins in Ayutthaya, the country's ancient former capital, and temples on Mount Suthep.

Panadda Diskul, a minister attached to the office of the Prime Minister, said he appreciated the way the artists engaged with the Thai people.
