The Queen of Statue Square: New Short Fiction from Hong Kong

The past year has been one of the most exciting and unpredictable in Hong Kong history since the handover. In this event, Xu Xi presents short stories from a new anthology of contemporary Hong Kong fiction, which she edited with Marshall Moore. The stories relate to the ever-relevant issue of Hong Kong identity, written by Hong Kong residents from several walks of life, and cuts to the heart of what it means to be a Hong Konger at a time when such definitions are fluid at best.

E-scooter hutong tours

Starting now, every weekend until mid-March we'll lead small group tours at a cool price. The Tour: After a brief training, we're off towards the hutongs (traditional Beijing alleys). We'll wind through the narrow lanes, observing old architecture and learning about Beijing's history, while experiencing first-hand today's hutong life. We'll then head back, stopping along the way for lunch and a debriefing at a local restaurant. The Guide: Your tour will be led by an experienced western Insider Guide who has made Beijing his/her home.
