Caochangdi (草场地)
As 798 Art District is invaded by more and more businesses, one may want to seek a pure art district in Beijing. Caochangdi (means "grassland" in Mandarin), an urban village and renowned art district, is home to a diverse group of residents, including migrant workers, farmers, students and especially artists. Caochangdi developed into a thriving arts and cultural hub when more and more artists moved into the area.
