Yang Kai is not an ink artist in the traditional sense. The young artist doesn't pay much attention to brushwork techniques or composition. He only cares about whether the medium of ink can bear his feelings and temperament.
His solo exhibition In-between displays his two ink series, Rites and Youth of Stars, in which he reflects upon history and childhood experiences.
10 am-7 pm, until July 15. Parkview Green Art Shanghai, Building 9, Xuhui Creative Industrial Park, 140 Tianlin Lu (Road), Shanghai. 021-3367-6516.
