Dinosaur Bible: Stegosauria in Beijing was launched by the Hunan Science & Technology Press on Sunday.
The book was co-written by cartoonist Zhao Chuang and science authors Yang Yang and Jiang Hong, who have taken three years to complete it.
The book, which has a 20,0000-edition print, is the first work of a Dinosaur Bible series, which will have 22 volumes.
The series, which will offer a panoramic introduction to dinosaurs, is expected to be completed in three years.
The publisher - one of the country's biggest publishing houses of popular science books - said it plans to launch more books about paleontology in the coming future.
