A bimonthly comic magazine called Modern Party was launched recently. Contributors include famous cartoonists from across the Chinese-speaking world including Taiwan's international award-winning illustrator and picture-book writer Jimmy Liao (known as Jimi in the Chinese mainland) as well as mainland rising star Zhang Xiaohe. Believing that the cartoon is not exclusive to children, the magazine delves into the adult world by covering topics like politics, economics and even sex.
