The 23rd National Books Expo is to open in Hainan province from April 19 to 22 next year, organizers announced in Beijing last week, saying they are excited about having the first grand book event in the province. The expo is expected to turn into a public reading campaign and present quality publications to visitors. As the province has the platform of being International Tourism Island, it is also ready to bring book-related events to add to its tourist attractions. The Nobel Laureate for literature, Mo Yan, is expected to join the expo and meet his fans. The expo's main site will be in the provincial capital of Haikou and three satellite sites are to open in Sanya, Danzhou and Wanning.
