Why enjoy one winter tradition when you can have two at the same time? The Nutcracker on Ice combines the timeless tale of a little girl and her magical Nutcracker prince with the grace and athleticism of ice dance. The Imperial Ice Stars perform under the direction of artistic director Tony Mercer, who worked with figure skating champions Evgeny Platov and Maxim Staviski to choreograph gymnastics and acrobatics into a visually stunning show. Tchaikovsky's iconic score is complemented by sets courtesy of Australian designer Eamon D'Arcy and costumes by Russian designer Elena Predvodeteleva.
