Choirs formed by employees of a number of transnational companies in China, including Samsung, Canon and Amway, recently held a concert at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) together with musicians from the Central Conservatory of Music.
Titled Always Remembered, the concert's program is dedicated to leading composers and lyricists of modern China, including Li Shutong (1880-1942), Zhao Yuanren (1892-1982) and Ren Guang (1900-41).
Outside the NCPA Concert Hall, an exhibition of former Chinese vice-premier Li Lanqing's drawings and seal-cutting works for these composers and lyricists was held simultaneously.
