The outward appearance hasn't changed much. But the museum has nearly tripled in size from 65,000 square meters to almost 200,000 square meters. Also, the internal structure and exhibiting functions have been greatly enhanced.

The museum is now in its test-operation phase. The operating hours are from 9 to 5 daily with Monday's off.
Currently only group visits are accepted. Starting from March 17th, single visitors can get a free entrance by valid certificate. And the maximum number of visitors is 1000 per day.
On March 25th, an Ancient Chinese Buddha Statue Exhibition and an Ancient Chinese Bronze Art Exhibition will also be opened; both are permanent collections of the museum.
