Tourism industry has also seen rapid development over the past year. Some 13 new village projects for mountain villagers proceeded in schedule, stimulating the district's tourism industry by the special mountainious homestays.

Zhangshui town, to the west of Haishu district, linked its Red-Tourism resources (historical sites related to the Chinese communist revolution) together to create a tourism route featuring patriotic education.

Improved administrative management

Haishu district's administrative service center opened a branch at Dishigang town, the sub economic center of Haishu district in April this year to adapt to the town's transformation from industrial economy to a service one.

Sci-tech credit risk compensation pools in Haishu district have been established by the Bank of China and Bank of Hangzhou with a total lending of 240 million yuan to support the development of scientific and innovative small and medium sized enterprises.

The credit risk compensation pool is a fund co-launched by a bank, a related governmental agency, and an insurance company or other financial institutions, serving as a risk deposit for scientific and innovative small and medium sized enterprises when borrowing money from the bank.

The smart city administration system based on the internet of things and cloud computing has been utilized in managing towns and villages to improve the district's integral management.

Moreover, a series of policies have also been released to deepen the supply-side structural reform in agricultural industry and to establish beautiful, cultural and habitable villages in Haishu district.
