BEIJING - Beijing police have apprehended six members of a gang of phone thieves.
Police became aware of three people stealing phones in the outskirts of Beijing in early August. The group specifically targeted women who were travelling alone.
Ten days later, police detained six people for stealing and selling cell phones. More than 500 phones and 200 travel cards were seized.
The police are returning the stolen phones to their rightful owners.
