Chimelong Group, a conglomerate that owns and operates theme parks, luxury hotels and leisure entertainment businesses, has opened a new apartment hotel in the Hengqin New Area of Zhuhai, Guangdong province.

The new operation, which faces Macao in the south and opened on Friday, will help meet the growing demand for luxury hospitality among visitors to Hengqin, part of the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone focusing on the development of high-end education, tourism and other services.

The hotel is about a five minute drive from the Chimelong International Ocean Resort, providing more than 700 rooms and other recreational facilities.

"The apartment hotel will help meet diversified needs from visitors to Hengqin," said Deng Zhengjie,the Chimelong Group's general manager of hotel service.
