BEIJING -- Three officials from Tianjin Municipality and Hebei Province have been placed under investigation on suspicion of corruption, China's Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said Thursday.
They include Yuan Dongsheng, former deputy director of Tianjin urban appearance and garden management commission; Wu Shuyuan, former deputy general manager of Tianjin BENEFO Mechanical Equipment Group Co., Ltd.; and Wu Aimin, former deputy general manager of Kailuan (Group) Limited Liability Corporation in Hebei.
All three have been placed under "coercive measures" which include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention and arrest, the SPP said.
In addition, prosecutors in Tianjin have finished the investigation into Ma Guizhong, former deputy general manager of Tianjin Pharmaceuticals, and transferred his case for prosecution.
Li Haiyan, former director of Dongjiang River basin administration under the Water Resources Department of Guangdong Province, was prosecuted for taking and offering bribes in Shenzhen.
