BEIJING -- Beijing has reported another Zika virus patient, following the one reported on May 15, the city's disease control center said on Tuesday.
A 35-year-old man, identified only as Song, from Fengtai District, first showed signs of the virus, a rash and fever, during his return flight from Bolivia on Saturday.
He informed the airport border control of his symptoms, according to a written statement issued by the Beijing Center for Diseases Prevention and Control.
He was admitted to hospital and tested positive for the virus. He is in stable conditions.
More imported cases are likely in Beijing because of frequent travel between the city and the affected countries, according to the center. But health experts said the likelihood that the disease will spread in Beijing is relatively low.
