BEIJING - A 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit sea area of Yilan county in Taiwan at a depth of 15 kilometers at 12:29 pm Beijing Time on Thursay, according to China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 24.77 degrees north latitude and 122.02 degrees east longitude.
