Two killed, 24 injured as market building collapses

GUANGZHOU-- Two people were killed and 24 others injured as a wholesale market building in South China's Guangdong province collapsed in storm, local authorities said Friday.
The accident occurred around 7 a.m. on Friday at the fruit market in Chancheng District of Foshan city, when a steel-framed shed was brought down by a strong gale packed with heavy rain, according to a statement from the city government.
Two people died at the scene. The injured were sent to hospital.
