People always say that dogs are man's best friend. They're also lifesavers, as three proved to be for a distraught woman who tried to kill herself in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality.
The dogs, out for a walk with their two owners, rushed into a river, attempting to save a woman who had jumped in the water to commit suicide on April 14, Chongqing Evening News reported.
The dogs swam toward the woman and tried very hard to push her to the shore using their heads. Later, a 69-year-old man passing by jumped into the river to save the woman. One of the dogs found the woman's shoe and brought it to the riverbank in its mouth.
The woman was saved and taken to a hospital.
