Places have their roles in popular Chinese films

Nanbin Road and the Yangtze River bridge in Chongqing, respectively known as "Chongqing's Bund", and the first highway bridge across the Yangtze River in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, were filmed for Chongqing Hotpot, which came out on April 1. The movie, with Yang Qing as director and Bai Baihe and Chen Kun as main characters, was chosen to be the opening film of the recent Hong Kong International Film Festival. [Photo/IC]

Like Burj Khalifa Tower in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Alnwick Castle in the Harry Porter series, many places in China, such as Chongqing and Hong Kong, play a role in domestic films.

These sites and their own natural landscapes bring charm to the films, while those that become popular inspire in their fans a yearning to visit those places.
