A pilot project designed to stack cars vertically on multiple levels of parking is waiting for green light before being put into use in Tongzhou district, southeastern Beijing, April 5, 2016. The plan, developed by a private engineering enterprise in Beijing, utilizes a mechanical system to transport cars to and from parking spaces in a way that eliminates the space wasted in a multi-story parking garage.
