CHENGDU - A deputy procurator in Chengdu, Southwest China, was put under investigation for "serious violations of discipline," according to the local discipline watchdog on Tuesday.
The deputy in question is Yang Jian of the Chengdu Municipal People's Procuratorate, said the Communist Party of China's (CPC) Sichuan Discipline Inspection Commission.
Also on Tuesday, two former senior officials in Liaoning Province -- former mayor of Fushun city Luan Qingwei and former deputy chief of the provincial federation of trade unions Li Jingtao -- were expelled from the CPC after graft investigations by the provincial discipline inspection authority.
