In the future, artificial intelligence will substitute simple and repetitive work. Baidu is committed to investing in artificial intelligence for at least five years.
New technologies such as self-driving can be popularized due to the fall in the computing cost. Commercial use of self-driving cars is expected to pop up in three to five years. Yesterday, I spoke with President Xi Jinping about the Baidu self-driving car's test run in Beijing last week.
Competition between large Internet companies is a good thing, because it produces innovation. Competition also played an important role in helping China's Internet to grow into today's scale.
Apart from competition, companies should cooperate with each other. As businesses expand, there will be more opportunities to cooperate. The Internet industry is developing in a healthy way and has a promising future.
