BEIJING - Le Dake, a former senior legislator in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China (CPC) and dismissed from public office following an internal graft investigation.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), Le was found to have taken advantage of his post to seek profits for others in business operations and accepted bribes.

Le was former deputy head of the Standing Committee of the regional People's Congress.
