Fried rice is to some extent an entry-level dish to everyone who is learning cooking. With a little help from oil and eggs, plain rice can be turned into something delicious. It is easy to think of making one portion of fried rice. But try four tons of it.
Three hundred professional cooks and cooking school apprentices turned on their cooking ranges at the same time to fry rice with their own ingredients in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province on Thursday.
The entire weight of the fried rice reached almost four tons, with peas, carrots, ham, sausages, prawns and other ingredients added.
