Xi-Xian Bonded Logistic Center takes shape

The first phase construction of Xi-Xian Bonded Logistic Center, the only such bonded logistic center next to an airport in Shaanxi province, passed the pre acceptance over the weekend, adding an important and new channel for the province to open to the outside world.
According to He Jian, director of the administration committee of Xi-Xian New Area's airport new town where it is located, the center will link the domestic market with foreign ones and help locals buy goods from overseas.
"The center cut down many intermediate links and brought the prices of foreign goods down.This will help customers buy luxury foreign goods at favorable prices," He said.
The center was approved in October, 2014 by the central government and its total planned area is 0.36 sq km in air new town's international aviation logistic hub area, closed to Xi'an Xianyang International Airport.
"The center was built with functions of bonded logistics, international distribution, enter pot trade and bonded goods display, and enjoys the special policies of export tax rebates, import free trade and favorable foreign exchange," the director said.
As the only special customs supervision zone in Shaanxi province to serve the airport logistic hub, the center is an important support to the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and an important platform for the opening of Xi'an National Aviation Experimentation Zone, which has attracted a dozen of aviation logistics, international trade and cross-border e-commerce enterprises to open their business in the center.
