Four officials and a company boss in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region have been dismissed from the regional legislature over suspected crimes and violations of discipline code of conduct.

The standing committee of the 12th Guangxi Zhuang autonomous regional People's Congress on Friday voted to strip Yu Yuanhui, former Communist Party chief of Nanning, the regional capital, of his position of deputy to the regional legislative body.

Yu, a former member of the standing committee of the Guangxi regional committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), was removed from his post for suspected "severe disciplinary and law violation" in May.

The other four included Zhao Guikun, Party deputy secretary of Jinxiu County and head of the county government; and Yin Bangke, a senior ethnic affairs official of Hechi City.
