Former senior CPC official dies at age 100

BEIJING - Wang Dongxing, former senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), died Friday morning at the age of 100, said the General Office of the CPC Central Committee.
Wang died due to an illness at 5:28 am Friday in Beijing, the office's statement said.
The statement praised Wang as "an excellent CPC member, time-tested loyal communist fighter and proletarian revolutionist."
