HKSAR official calls for more tourism effort

Hong Kong will work harder to boost the city's tourism competitiveness, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong Special Administrative Regions government Gregory So said here on Thursday.
Commenting on the World Economic Forum's recent ranking of Hong Kong 13th among 141 countries and districts in its latest Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report, So told the media the result reflects the city's attractiveness as a tourist destination.
"In the total picture, we are faring quite well, ranked 13th overall," So said, "We have a lot of advantages over other districts, and we will strengthen those areas where we are ranked with a lesser ranking."
So said HKSAR government will work even harder to enhance Hong Kong's competitiveness and attractiveness to tourists.
