BEIJING - The National Day holiday from Oct 1 to Oct 7 is forecast to be accompanied by rains in northeast and southwest China, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said Wednesday.
Rain and drop in temperature will hit northern and northeastern China sporadically from Wednesday to Sunday, according to the NMC forecast. This might create disruptions to some holiday travelers.
From Wednesday evening to Thursday, some of the northern and northeastern regions, mainly Liaoning and Heilongjiang provinces, will see heavy rain, according to the forecast.
From Wednesday night to Saturday, southwest China including Sichuan and Guizhou provinces and Chongqing are expected to be hit by medium-to-heavy rain, and some of the regions will be battered by rainstorm.
