Imported clothing products from brands like Zara, Bershka, Hermes and Muji failed quality tests of the country's quality watchdog more than 10 times from May through August.
Liu Shiyuan, deputy director with the authority's department for supervision on inspection, said in a news conference on Sept 29 that the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine checked more than 603 batches of imported clothing products involving 261 brands.
Some of the imported products failed the tests because of unqualified labels and fiber content, he said.
