SHIJIAZHUANG - Two people have been confirmed dead and four others went missing after their boat capsized in water of a wetland park in north China's Hebei Province, local authorities said Friday.
Police aided with professional water rescuers are still searching for the missing in Gongzhu Lake Wetland Park in Guantao County, Hebei.
The accident happened at around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. All of the six passengers on the coastguard vessel were wearing life jackets, according to rescuers.
Investigators said the park's water sports has not been open to business. All of the six on board were friends of a manager of the Jin'E Yacht Company, which won the park's water recreation business operation right through a public bidding.
