Subways in Beijing will be extending to cities in Hebei province, officials from the capital said on Thursday as reported by the Beijing Times.
The officials did not reveal which cities in Hebei will connect with the capital. Langfang, Hebei province, has already expressed hope that Beijing's Daxing Line, which runs from the capital's downtown area to Daxing district, can be extended to Gu'an county in the province and that the Yizhuang Line, connecting downtown Beijing to suburban Yizhuang, will reach Langfang.
According to media reports, Dongxiaoying station, which is a stop on Beijing's Line 6, has been built with the ability to extend eastward. The station is just a few kilometers away from the Yanjiao area of Langfang.
