First Zhejiang Sino-US university approved

The Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Wenzhou Kean University on March 31, making it the first Sino-US cooperation university in Zhejiang province and the second in China, after Shanghai New York University.
Wenzhou Kean University is a cooperation between Wenzhou and Kean University in the United States. It will start recruitment of 500 students from September in six majors including English, computer science and technology, marketing and economics.
Undergraduate students graduating from the university will be given bachelor's degrees from both Wenzhou Kean University and Kean University. They will also gain automatic acceptance to master's programs at Kean University.
About 90 percent of the lectures at Wenzhou Kean University will be introduced from Kean University and more than 90 percent of teachers will be recruited from Kean University and countries outside of China.
