Several counties' modest office buildings in Hunan province received praise from Internet users recently after a series of media reports.
Xinhua News Agency released a series of reports on the low-budget and tight-quartered facilities of county government departments in several old compounds in Hunan province.
The Lanshan county government compound has three old buildings built in the 1950s.
The report said that eight organs were based in the compound, including the county Party committee, county government and the people's congress.
In Suining county's government compound, more than 10 departments were located in several old buildings constructed in the 1950s. Each office room was occupied by six to seven people, the report said.
