85 injured in HK ferry accident

HONG KONG - A total of 85 people were reported to have been injured in a ferry accident which happened at 1 am on Friday near Hei Ling Chau island of China's Hong Kong, and two people were seriously injured.
A hydrofoil carrying over 100 passengers and 10 crew members left Hong Kong to China's Macau at 1 am, and around 20 minutes later, the vessel hit an unidentified object and then was towed back to the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan. The injured were then sent to hospitals by the medical staff waiting there, according to the TurboJet ferry company.
TurboJet's manager Wong Man-chung said that what the hydrofiol had hit was still unclear. He said that no major damage to the vessel had been found and he believed that the boat was not speeding when the accident occurred.
Till now, the cause of the accident is still unknown. Hong Kong's marine office is conducting investigation.
