The Shanghai-based Spring Airlines, China's only budget carrier, declared it will launch “blind date” flights in December, the chinanews.com reported on Wednesday.
The three flights, which all connect to Kunming, Yunnan province, will depart from Shanghai, Shijiazhuang and Tianjin, according to the report.
The event encourages young singles to travel with their single friends to increase their chances of meeting someone. According to the report, males should be aged 25-38, and females 22-28.
For a pair of friends, the airline is offering a free ticket when the first one is purchased.
The flight will take off as long as there are 10 passengers registered for the journey, said the report.
Applicants can apply through the airline's Sina micro blog.
