Shanghai New York University began enrollment for 2014, with recruitment expanding to all Chinese mainland students.
The university opened in September was the first Sino-US joint venture with an independent, legal entity. It was co-established by East China Normal University and New York University.
It enrolled 300 students in 2013, and Chinese students were from 10 provinces or municipalities.
In 2014, attendance will be the same as 2013, with 151 students from the Chinese mainland and 149 from overseas countries, the school said on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the tuition fee remains unchanged at 100,000 yuan ($16,400) each year for Chinese students and $45,000 for international students.
So far, the university's campus at Century Avenue in the city's Pudong New Area is still under construction. Students are expected to move to the new campus next year, according to the school.
