Writer started from humble origins

A man with a junior high school education studied hard and wrote a number of books to realize his dream of becoming a writer, Zhengzhou Evening News reported on Tuesday.
Lyu Zhiyong, 41, a resident in Linzhou city, Henan province, worked in a variety of jobs, including as a carpenter, chef, and in the construction industry after graduation from junior high school. But he continued to study and write in his spare time.
From 1989, he started to send his articles to various magazines and one of his articles was finally published by a magazine in 1997.
Lyu has published a number of books and became a contract writer with more than 60 media and publishing houses. His annual income made by his writing reached some 400,000 yuan ($65,700).
